FSU requires international graduate applicants whose native language is not English to demonstrate English language proficiency. This requirement can be fulfilled by submitting official scores from one of the following standardized tests:
TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 80
TOEFL PBT: Minimum score of 550
IELTS (Academic): Minimum score of 6.5
Pearson Test of English (PTE): Minimum score of 55
Cambridge C1 Advanced Level: Minimum score of 180
Michigan Language Assessment: Minimum score of 55
Applicants who have earned a bachelor's degree or higher from an institution in the U.S. or another English-speaking country may be eligible for a waiver of the English proficiency requirement.
